Glen Zanns

I was born with Spina Bifida. I am 35 years old. I am in a wheelchair. the doctors told my parents that I would not survive more that 24 hours to live. They also told my parents that if I did survive I would be in a vegetative state, blind, deaf, have mental retardation, would not be able to talk or move on my own.

Here I am now and I am well and healthy and most of all enjoying life as it comes. I have had a rough time in school but I was well and strong enough to over come it. I am now a graduate law student and I work for a non profit company as a fundraiser.

I've had more than 14 operations but I have surpassed it and I am a reasonably happy adult, I feel I have been lucky as although the pain cause by my "disability" I'm loved. I am married with a beautiful woman and thank God to the surprise of all I have a baby on the way.

Due to being paralysed from the waist down I would like to find a carer to drive me around and help me out with the house work.
