Gary is a 17 year old man, he has a very bubbly personality and enjoys being around people.
He is a very easy going young man, with great social skills.
He enjoys singing and dancing, and being the centre of attention. He is part of a theatre group that caters for children and young adults with special needs.
He is currently in his final year at college, plays sport three or four times a week, loves movies and loud music. He likes to spend time with his friends and is looking forward to leaving school and getting a job.
He loves football and is part of the Greenwich Badger football league, which is part of Down’s Syndrome Active programme.
Gary has Down’s Syndrome and due to a recent lung operation Gary occasionally finds himself short of breath, especially during sport.
Gary is quite self sufficient and responsible but can sometimes overlook his personal care. While caring for him you need to make sure he eats his meal and takes his medication as prescribed.
Gary is generally very well behaved but like most teenagers he can be a little stroppy!
When he is like this you just need to be a little more patient than normal.
